Today,in this blog, we would talk about the success of student team from Faridabad-based Manav Rachna Institute of Research and Studies. This student group has won the Microsoft Imagine Cup Asia Regional Semifinals here on Tuesday,and now they are heading towards the grand prize of $100,000(71 lakhs INR) at the world championship in US.

Now, what is this Microsoft Imagine Cup…??


   It is an annual competition sponsored and hosted by Microsoft Corporation. The main aim is to bring student developers worldwide to help defeating the world’s toughest challenges. It is also sometime referred as the , ‘Olympics of Technology’ in the field of computer science and engineering and also said to be one of the top competitions and awards related to technology and software design. So, now you can realize how tough and competitive is to win here! And, within these 10 years, more than 1.65M students have taken participation from over 190 countries.

    The name of the three member team is ‘Caeli’. Caeli means air in Latin. Aakash Bhadana from the ‘Caeli’ team said, “At a time, when air pollution is a big concern in various countries including India,we are collecting the real-time air pollution data that can be used by relevant stakeholders and the Indian Government. They can integrate our application program interfaces into their projects and gain more insights. Our aim is now to collaborate with right stakeholders and take the ‘made in India’ products to the market”.


The team already won $15,000  and made their spot in the world championship, so that they can win the grand prize as told before of $100,000 at Microsoft’s Redmond-based headquarters in May! Good Job Team ‘Caeli’ ,our best wishes are always with you…
