Apple took a step forward by hiring the ex-Microsoft exec to improve the structure of it’s smart home business….

Now, if we talk briefly about Sam Jadallah, he was a fomer CEO of a smart lock company that unfortunately shut down few years ago. Now, he got a new job and his job is will be to lead the home initiatives at Apple. He previously ran a start-up called Otto, and also he spent more than a decade at Microsoft as a former Microsoft corporate vice president.

And now, Apple hired Sam which means that Apple is really serious about it’s own efforts in home. And additional to that, the company acquired a start-up called the ‘Pullstring’ which specializes in voice enabled toys. And you probably know that Apple has many products which are geared to home, including HomeKit, a software which connects with a broad array of third party products and also a HomePod, a smart speaker for the home with voice recognition, music and much more.
And talking about the start-up which Sam started, he said that about 70% of the early team behind Otto were actually poached from Apple’s rank. And now, having half a dozen job openings in Apple’s home division, it’s not sure whether he will bring his early employees with him or will have a fresh mandate to hire.
