WhatsApp adding new feature- sharing contact info through QR CODE!! | Hi Tech Blog

Today in this blog, we would discuss about the most popular messaging app 'WhatsApp' which is going to add a very special and useful feature that is sharing contact info through scanning QR CODE.

No doubt that almost every smartphone user has WhatsApp where one can message texts, send audios, videos, and can audio call as well as video call. Recently, WhatsApp released an update where users can send stickers. Now,WhatsApp team is now working on a new feature that is to scan QR code and getting the contact information.

This new feature that is "Share contact via QR Code" will allow users to share their contact details to other WhatsApp users via QR code. Yes,it may sound similar to the NameTag feature available in Instagram. And WhatsApp is planning to bring an easier way to allow users to add new contact directly by the app.

So,how's this feature actually works and how would it help people??..........

Through this feature, users can scan QR code and the contact of the another user would be automatically saved in the phone book.
Before that, what we had to do?

First ,to add someone in WhatsApp, we had to go to contacts and then add new contact and then filling up the names and phone number of the person. But with this new feature, all one need to do is to just scan the QR CODE and then all the details will be automatically saved to the contacts without any external efforts. It saves the time and monotonous effect.
And this feature would be much more useful for business purposes as they can publish the QR code on websites or shops. This can help them recieving payments and help customers for information through future communications in WhatsApp.

This feature was actually spotted in iOS and they are now working on it to bring this feature on Android. We may need to wait for sometime to experience their scope through alpha or beta release of WhatsApp.
