When you create new account in WhatsApp through a new number, WhatsApp sends a code(6 digit) to verify it. And now,the fake message looks similar to the standard authorization text which is sent to the new user when verifying.

And,also it tries to trick the users to click malicious links to validate the account. Actually, in the text,WhatsApp sends the six digit code and also it sends a link ,giving an alternate chance for user to activate the account.

And,by doing this, hackers can gain access to your account. And if they succeed, they can see the message history, the photos and media shared and also the other informations.. TRA advised to follow few simple steps to secure your account if it gets hacked.

The first and foremost thing to do is to uninstall the app and then reinstall it again. After that ,you should inform relatives and friends not to respond to any messages from this number.

Another step which you can take to secure the account is to send email to the WhatsApp authority that is WhatsApp technical support team. The email is:- Support @whatsapp.com

In the email, you should mention your number which is being hacked along with the area code which is important and to request to deactivate this number's WhatsApp account.

But the most simple step is to reinstall the app 2-3 times a day. We know it's quite time consuming and frustrating, but if you think your account is hacked like if you discover any suspicious activity, then you should follow this to secure account and repeat the steps daily until you think the account is secured.
